Chilli Pan Mee, USJ 9 Subang Jaya

Last Saturday, I had this craving for “pan mee” (translation is flat flour noodle) usually prepared in soup or dry mixed with thick soy sauce and nowadays, even with hot chilli in it. Yummy.. The texture of the flat flour noodle, thickness of the noodle is medium size, it has the bouncy feeling when chewed, is what I like about them. The aste, the excitement of the spicy-ness and combination is simply tantalizing.

For the place I patronized, they have already a couple of outlets. The outlet that I visited is as follow:

1. Dry Chilli Pan Mee (Minced Pork, Anchovies, Dry Shallots, Semi-cook Egg) served with potato leaves and pork balls soup – add in your preference of hot chilli into pan mee and mix well. [Size: Normal, RM5.50]

2. Traditional Pan Mee soup, if you like it spicy, you may add in the hot chilli into the soup [Size: Big, RM7.00]

3. Prawn Dumpling Soup (Sui Kow): 4pcs [RM4.00]

Food Foundry, Section 17 (PJ)

One fine day, my colleague had to go and collect some things near Section 17, PJ. Thereby, being lunch time, we conveniently thought doing lunch at this place, The Food Foundry, which is located at Section 17, PJ. The cafe is surrounded by the low cost high rise flat/apartments; in fact it’s right below some.

It’s my second time there, while some of us didn’t even know of it’s existence. Well, I find the place cosy and relaxingly laid back. By the way, most patrons came for their cakes, which is one of their specialties. Personally, I’ve tried the “Chocolate Dreams”, great choice for those who loves having some peanut butter spread over a chocolate cake. Well if you are, go try it out; contrary to most cakes sold elsewhere, theirs isn’t really sweet, in fact just nice. A friend who tried the “Vanilla Mille Crepe” cake claimed it is nice too. Maybe, I should try it the next time.
