Spicy Hot Basil Minced Meat

This is one simple recipe that a friend of mine, who doesn’t know how to cook shared with me. Good try!

Ingredients:

5 red chili padi, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
300g minced meat
1 pack of basil leaves
3 Tbsp Olive oil

Methods:

1. Marinade minced meat with white pepper, salt, soy sauce and coriander seeds powder. Mix well.

2. Heat up oil in a wok, add garlic and ginger and fry until fragrant. Add marinated chicken and stir-fry for two to three minutes until just cooked through.

3. Serve with fragrant rice.

Note: Be caution with the chili padi when you chopped. Avoid touching the chili seeds, as it causes the hot sensation.

Pan Fried Fish with Winnie’s Special Butter Sauce

Wow! It’s been awhile that I wonder if cooking a butter sauce can be really so easy.

Well, I’d finally tried and it was GREAT.

First, I bought a slice of fish the other day and meant to fry it or steam it or something but on the second thought, those were boring methods indeed.. So I have decided to try something different.

What I did was, I had replaced evaporated milk with soy milk; this you have to make sure that it’s soy milk (with only soy beans and water on the label).

My friend gave me a curry leave plant about half-year ago; finally I have made good use of it. It is so convenience that you plant some spices and herbs at your own garden. You get to use it whenever you want, It’s so remarkably convenient. LOL!



By the way , time to try it on your own, here’s my recipe:

Ingredients:
20g Lurpak Unsalted Butter
1/2 cup Nature Soy (Organic Soya in Packet) or evaporated milk
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp mayonnaise
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
2 bird’s eye chilies
2 sprigs curry leaves
1 clove garlic, diced

Method:
1. Preheat the saucer pan

2. Melt the butter and add curry leaves, garlic, and bird’s eye chilies.
Fry until there’s some fragrant.

3. Then mix in the soy milk, sugar, salt, mayonnaise.
Tips: Taste the sauce before serve.

4. Cook the sauce till it’s slightly thickens and it’s ready to be served.
