Shrimp Linguine with Feta Cheese in Sun-dried Tomato

Recently, I have a friend share his vegetarian pasta recipe with me. I felt is interesting to always try something new rather than tomato or white sauce. ūüôā I have improvised the recipe, please find the recipe below:


2 portions of Linguine Dry Pasta
1 yellow capsicum, chopped
1 pack of feta cheese in sundried tomato oil
1 handful brown button Mushroom, chopped
1 medium Onion, chopped
3 chili padi, chopped
12 medium sized Shrimp
2 tbsp Tabasco sauce
Mixed herbs
Ground Coriander
Almond Flakes
Salt and Black Pepper

1. Boil a pot of water, add in salt and pasta to cook.
2. In a large skillet, put in 3 tbsp of oil from feta cheese pack.
3. Add onion to cook till soft then add mushroom and shrimps. Also, add in salt, black pepper and mixed herbs.
4. At last, add capsicum, almond flakes, feta cheese together with sundried tomato. Stir together with pasta and mix it well.

Serve when it’s hot. ¬†Enjoy!

California Pizza Kitchen, KLCC (will be moving to Fahrenheit88 by Dec 2010)

It has been a long time since me and my then boyfriend now hubby, checked out KLCC for dining spots, like the California Pizza Kitchen. It really  brought back  some fond memories.

Recently, we decided to go back there to dine again. And we got to know that¬† they’ll¬† are moving out to “Fahrenheit88” in 18 Nov 2010. Fortunately, we came a week earlier, else we might have just missed the old setup here in KLCC altogether.

Bout the food, well, we ordered soups, salad, pizza and pasta to share.

1. Two in a Bowl with Soup combination:

i. Potato Leek Soup and Dakota Smashed Pea and Barley Soup.

ii. Dakota Smashed Pea & Barley Soup and Tuscan White Bean Minestrone

Dakota Smashed Pea & Barley soup: Hearty vegetarian split pea with barley, carrots, onions and savory herbs. Garnished with chopped green onions.
Tuscan White Bean Minestrone soup: Cannellini beans, tomatoes, zucchini, spinach, onion, celery and parmesan cheese. Garnished with homemade garlic-herb croutons.

2. Moroccan Chicken Salad

Moroccan-spiced chicken breast with crisp Romaine lettuce, roasted butternut squash, Medjool dates, fresh avocado, toasted almonds, fresh beets, chopped egg, carrots, dried cranberries and red bell peppers. Tossed with our champagne vinaigrette

3. Pesto Cream Penne with Chicken (optional with Shrimp or both)

Basil pine nut pesto cream sauce, sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese.

4. California Club Pizza (that taste is awesome, looks can be deceiving)

Applewood smoked bacon, grilled chicken and Mozzarella cheese, hearth baked then topped with Roma tomatoes, chilled chopped lettuce tossed in mayonnaise and fresh sliced avocado.
